Pancho Villa

Pancho Villa is a Mexican restaurant in Moscow, and possibly the only Mexican restaurant in Moscow.  Operating in a large basement across from the Oktyabr’skaya (orange line) metro station.  They have fairly authentic Mexican dishes.  Most if not all of the people working are Cuban, so there is experience cooking this style of food.  Even though the people are used to spicy foods, they’re still cooking to the taste of Russians, which means unless you ask for something to have spice, it will be quite mild.  Mobile reception is almost non existent because of the below ground location.  Most nights the restaurant is fairly empty, but even if there are a few people there the restaurant is quite large and there is often a place that you can find to sit which will not have many people there.  Some nights they will play somewhat loud music and people will dance.  Again there are seats away from the music if this is not your thing.
